Install the 4D Shopify-Odoo Sync add-on, connect it to your tenant workspace and Shopify store, and complete the setup wizard.
Installation
- Download the 4D Shopify-Odoo Sync package from the approved 4D distribution source or the Odoo Apps Store listing.
- Sign in to Odoo as a user who can install applications.
- Upload or install the add-on through the Odoo Apps area.
- Restart or refresh Odoo if your Odoo environment requires it after module installation.
- Open the 4D add-on configuration page from Odoo and start the setup wizard.
Only install the add-on in the Odoo database that should sync with your 4D tenant workspace and approved Shopify store.
Wizard walkthrough
1. Enter your tenant workspace
Enter the tenant workspace name created during 4D signup. The workspace identifies the customer organization that will receive Shopify-Odoo sync configuration and data.

2. Authenticate the Odoo connection
Sign in or paste the token provided by 4D, depending on the add-on version installed in your Odoo environment. The token must belong to the same tenant workspace entered in the previous step.

3. Connect Shopify and confirm sync scope
Provide the Shopify credentials or access information that you are authorized to use, then review the records and configuration that the add-on is allowed to exchange with 4D. Continue only when the listed sync scope matches the tenant setup approved by your administrator.

4. Run the first sync check
Use the wizard’s test or sync check action to verify that Odoo can reach 4D, that Shopify access is accepted, and that 4D accepts the tenant workspace, token, and sync configuration.

Troubleshooting
Authentication failed. Confirm that the Odoo user is allowed to configure applications, then retry the connection using the same tenant workspace that was created during 4D signup.
Token rejected. Generate a fresh token in 4D or request one from the tenant administrator. Tokens may be rejected when they are expired, copied with extra characters, or issued for a different tenant workspace.
Slug taken. The tenant workspace name is already in use. Check the spelling against the workspace created during signup, or contact support if your organization owns the name but cannot access it.
Email not received. Check spam and quarantine folders, verify that the administrator email address is correct, and ask your mail administrator to allow messages from 4D. Contact support if the setup email still does not arrive.
Shopify connection rejected. Confirm that the Shopify store identifier and credentials are correct and that the merchant or administrator is authorized to connect that store to 4D.
Sync failing. Run the wizard’s connection check again, confirm that the selected sync scope is valid for the tenant workspace and Shopify store, and capture the latest error message before contacting support.

Do I need a 4D tenant workspace before installing the add-on?
Yes. The add-on connects Odoo and Shopify to an existing 4D tenant workspace created through the signup flow.
Can one Odoo database connect to more than one tenant workspace?
Use one approved tenant workspace for each add-on setup unless support confirms a different deployment pattern for your organization.
Does the add-on store payment card data?
No. Subscription payment processing is handled separately by Stripe through the 4D signup and billing flow.
